Meet Our Board Members Bob MacDonald President Bob is a retired aerospace executive that grew up in Montreal receiving an MBA from Montreal's Concordia University. Living in Rouses Point since 2006 and joining North Country Golf Club in 2007 , I was pleased to join the board in 2018 becoming club president in 2019. Tim Parker Vice President Tim grew up in Cape Vincent NY going to school there through 7th grade and then went to Gouverneur High School graduating in 1974. Moved to Chazy in 1993 I joined the golf club originally in 1995 and have been on the board for 4 years being voted in 11/2017. Jan Letourneau Secretary Jan has been a member for 21 years. She joined the club originally as a way to socialize and meet other women in the community. "Even though its not my best sport, playing golf offers me a way to tap into my competitive nature in a fun and friendly environment." Clark Foster Treasurer Clark joined the club in Fall 2012, taking advantage of the Fall membership offer that year. "I like the challenge golf presents - every time. Lowering my golf scores is not easy for this retired accountant! I’ve also enjoyed getting to know many of my fellow members over the years - golfing with them, enjoying a cocktail after a round, cringing to their bad jokes or volunteering with them to improve our course. Basically, it’s an all-around fun experience!" Josie Gilroy Director Josie has been a member of the North Country Golf Club for 35+ years. I played a handful of times with my father and brothers when I was in high school, back when it was only 9 holes. I have enjoyed playing the course, watching it grow and improve over the years. At the urging of two teacher friends, I eventually joined the Tuesday morning Ladies League for fun, to meet people and to satisfy my competitive spirit. The golf course personnel are friendly, as are the members. I love to play early in the morning and I’m allowed to do so without interfering with the groundskeepers. Golfing Memberships Daily Rates Map & Score Card Hours of Operation Our History Built in 1936 by the Weston Family as a 9 hole course, the club grew in popularity with support from local and Canadian residents alike. The club expanded to 18-holes in 1969, and is currently a member-owned facility that is open to the public. Additionally, we have over 300 adult and junior members that come from as far as Florida and Northern Quebec. If you are seeking quality services and great conditions at an outstanding value, look no further than the North Country Golf Club. General Information & Guidelines We want you to be comfortable and fully enjoy your time with us during and after your golf round. That's why we are pretty relaxed here at the North Country Golf Club. However, we do have general guidelines to follow: 1) New York State Law: Bringing your own beverages is prohibited! What's in the bag? Got a few beers, or a flask with your favorite spirit? We understand that everything is cheaper at the store. Unfortunately, New York State Liquor Laws does not allow you to BYOB. Fortunately, we do have daily specials available in the restaurant, shack, and on our beverage cart for your convenience! 2) Please follow our Dress Code: Collared shirts are preferred but a clean and neat tee shirt is acceptable. For our lady guests, tops with straps of no less than 1" are suggested. Golf shorts or similar are preferred. However, we will accept just about any tasteful golf bottoms you arrive in, even clean jeans/jean shorts. Golf shoes (we are a soft spike facility) are preferred but sneakers or sandals will do in a pinch Ripped clothing, thongs, bathing suits, bare feet & going shirtless should be avoided at all times.
